About Us
Mia’s Hair Studio is just 2 km from Tai Tapu and 4 km from Lincoln, attached to our house on a 10 acre lifestyle block. We have Arapawa and Wiltshire sheep, Indian Runner ducks and Araucana chickens. We obtained our Selwyn District Council Certificate of Registration for the hair salon and opened mid-July 2022.
In September 2022 we welcomed Hayley MacDonald as an additional Senior Stylist working Monday through Friday, 9.00 am to 2.30 pm. She is a professional and highly respected stylist, well known in the Lincoln area.
On Fridays and Saturdays, Kate Rasiri will also be working as a stylist in the salon.

Mia first trained at the Johnny Andrean Hairdressing School in Jakarta Indonesia about 15 years ago and had her own hair salon there. In New Zealand, Mia completed a two-year course at ARA in Christchurch and a two-year apprenticeship at a salon in Lincoln in order to obtain her NZQF Certificate of Hairdressing. She enjoys gym, yoga, hiking, cooking and gardening, and time with her family.
